Liberty goes to 3-0 after holding off Stafford in the last seconds as Havard smashed the fullback from Stafford on a two point conversion attempt to hold them off, a low scoring game at that...

The game was a little bit closer than i thought it would be. Good job Liberty try to keep the streak rolling in district.

Yeah, I stated in an earlier post that I figured it would be a close, low scoring game. I knew Liberty would pull away with the victory when everything was said and done. Good Job Panthers, you have prepared yourself in such a fashion to really do well in district play. Oh, and Havard, all I gotta say is Dizzamm. Good Job !

Just by what I heard on the radio; it sounded as if Liberty did not play very well. Although they did manage to hold Stafford a few times defensively from scoring. It seemed as if every time I turned on the radio; the right side corner caught one of their receivers from behind. Oh well, it's a "W" when the clock strikes 00:00 !

I completely agree with you RBARKER. I wasn't able to see the game but from what I heard Liberty was within the red zone some 6 times only to come out with no points. Sounds like the offense really needs to step it up if they want to take district. To the team, good luck yall and congrats on the win.

I think that Liberty is just plain lucky-they are just 3 points over having two loses this year. I think they have peaked and will not be the 22-3A Champ this year.....Boy, That Diboll put it all over Coldspring, they must be really getting better! It looks like both Stafford and Huffman-Hargraves are pulling themselves up by their own bootstraps...

i agree we played horrible. this is prob the worst offensive game we've had in the last two yrs sense ive been playin varsity ball. we missed 5 touchdown. a fumble inside the 5 2 turnovers in side the 5 and 2 dropped td passes. we werent focused at all

Really though, to Old Cardinal, missing 5 touchdowns, fumbling inside the 5, 2 turnovers and 2 dropped td passes doesn't sound very lucky to me. If anything it shows me that this Liberty team can perservere through all the mistakes and still come out with a win. In the end thats all that really matters. And peaking in only the 3rd game of the season? Not very likely. Ludacris even.

I think that we didn't play to the best of our ability against Stafford, I think our minds were elsewhere. But I do believe that a win is a win. But boys.. we can't play like this in district. We have to come in crunk and focused like stunna.. Let's take it to another level and keep our streak going!! I'll be on the sidelines on Friday cheering my lil' heart out..
