thats a FAAAAAAAAAAAAR reach... the MVC is going to get in at least 2-3 teams... and the WCC might get more than just their conference champ in too...

The MidMajors are stepping up, and will have a big presence this year.

Tech now has wins over 5 teams in the RPI top 50 with 2 of them being road wins. As long as they don't trip up against Baylor and Iowa St next week (they play @ Texas and Okie State at home this week) then they should be in...unless they lose to a weak team in the 1st round of the Big 12 Tourney then they would move back on the bubble line.

your wording is faulty... there is no "last spot"

there was a write up in the paper last week about 16 sports writers going to a camp held by the NCAA selection committee, and they don't care about what conference you are in... what names you have... if Texas just goes down the toilet... Kevin Durant will not play in the NCAA tourney... get it?

yeah i get it and i didnt mean to say last spot im sayin one of those two teams get in...both will not unless texsa goes to crap or another team completely bombs out

Go read this...
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/columns/story?columnist=katz_andy&id=2758650

It explains the process by which the brackets are put together. You will quickly realize that the committee is not at all concerned with the # of teams that a conference gets or how many majors vs mid-majors get into the at large group. They are trying to get the best 65 teams into the tourney...period.

A&M-CC or Northwestern State, the Winner of the Southland will wind up either in the play in game... or ranked 13 in a weak bracket...

Oklahoma State isn't a lock.

Tech's 3 top 10 wins look nice but they aren't a "lock" either.
