"Little Red Riding Hood - 2004"
By Phil C Aseoph

Chapter One - Into the Woods

It was an early warm April day when Little Red Riding Hood was walking into the woods. She lived in town and Grandmother lived in the woods about 1/4 of a mile from town. Since is was such a short distance she could walk through the woods to see her Grandmother. One day as she started into the Officer Dan Pepper of the State Game Warden Office saw her and wondered why a young girl like that would be walking into the woods alone. He decided to follow her for a while and just to be cautious he reached over for his power scoped rifle as he got out of his patrol jeep.

Chapter Two - The Beguiled

The Big Bad Wolf saw Little Red Riding Hood walking into the woods but did not see the Game Warden. In order to surprise her he swiped a sheet from a clothesline at a nearby hous. He approached Little Red Riding Hood and said "Hello Honey. I thought you might be coming to visit today so i decided to take a walk and meet you half way and walk back with you to my house. My those cookies spell good."
"Thank you for coming to meet me Granma. But my - what big ears you have."
"The better to hear you with Dear."
"My what big eyes you have."
"The better to see you with dear."
"My what big teeth you have."
"The better to eat you with Dear." The wolf threw off the sheet and approached her menancingly."
But Little Red Riding Hood opened her basket and pulled out a 44 pistol. She said "You thought I was a helpless little girl but I am really 13 years old and in the eight grade. I thought this trap might work. I am not even going to Grandma's house today. I am going to shoot you and skin you and take you as an exhibit for my science fair for science class and I am sure I will not only get an A but probably win the fair too."

The wolf knew he had met his match. The gun was pointed straight at him and he instinctively knew this girl knew hous to use it. He had only a one in a hundred chance to survive but he had to take it. He lunched at the girl."

Chapter Three - Woods of Doome

Officer Pepper had been following close but out of sight behind the girl. He saw someone in a sheet approach the girl that started to talk to her. He decided it was an old lady who was probably the girl's grandmother and he was about to turn and go back to his jeep. But then he saw the wolf throw the sheet away and immediately realized it was a wolf. He saw the little girl pull out a pistol. Realizing there was danger he immediatly put the gun to his head and aimed with the scope. He saw the wolf lunge toward the girl and pulled the trigger. A roaring roar roared throughout the woods.

Chapter Four - The Conclusion

As the wolf made his desperate charge he was started by a loud roar. It happened so fast. The next thing he knew the pistol was lying harmlessly by him on the ground and the little girl lay down dead beside him. A hand settled on his back and Officer Pepper began to escort him into the woods.
Officer Pepper said "I want you to stay deep in the woods and never come this close to town again."
As the two walked farther into the woods there was a sign posted to one of the trees which read "By law it is prohibited to hunt and kill wolves. Endangered Species."
