i agree...maybe they should follow baseball and actually make the game mean something...

I think baseball is different since the game is more slower paced and playing at full speed offers less chance for injury..

I agree...baseball's all-star game at least resembles the regular game that they play...pitchers still throw fastballs, outfielders still jump walls, hitters still run the bases.

Football's is dumb because it's after the season...if they did it in week 12 and gave everybody a bye, I think it would be much more interesting. Basketball and hockey? They double up on their normal scores. Defense is a huge part of both those games and you don't see a lick of it in the All-star game.

football cannot play their allstar game in the season because of the HIGH risk of injury. Even if they aren't playing their butt off someone hits the ground every single play and the risk of injury is high!
