I personally had two jars of the Peter Pan peanut butter recalled. So here is the e-mail I received about it and I encourage each of you to check your peanut butter or tell others that have kids and usually keep peanut butter in the pantry.:)

And make sure they reimburse you for the shipping as well.

I heard this morning on Good Morning America that Peter Pan peanut butter & Great Value peanut butter has been linked to Salmonella poisioning. It has made about 300 people very sick and about 20% have been in the hospital because of it. Need to know if the peanut butter you have will have that poision??? Well, look on the lid and if the first 4 digits are 2111 then DO NOT eat it. They said you will get a refund if you sent the lid, your name, and address to ConAgra Foods P.O. Box 57078 Irvine, Ca 92619-7078.
My lid on my peanut butter was 2111 & sending my lid in for a refund. My grandmother and my mother-in-law also had the product code 2111. Go check your peanut butter.
Also, if you would like to contact them here is the number: 1-866-344-6970

I checked mine last night and fortunately the brand my boys use didn't match the code no. :)
Unfortunately the Sugar Free peanut butter I eat did so to the trash can it went. :(

My peanut butter matched and I chunked it.....but it was only about 1/3 full. No one in my family has gotten sick and we ALL ate it on our pancakes Sunday morning!!

We had 2 jars of PB and both were 2111. Both were bought in Rockdale. The crunchy was almost gone and the smooth only had a spoon out of it. No one sick though.

You never know................

I don't like Jiff, it has always been Peter Pan or nothing in our house....looks like it might be nothing for awhile. :(

I'm not sure if any of us got sick from it since it was opened.

If you bought them at HEB, take em back and you can get your money back :)

I can't remember if they came from HEB or Walmart...guess you would have to take them in and let them see if it scans or not?

I've got 2 empty ones in my room and one that's 1/2 full. I'm a poor college kid some I'm gonna send in the lids. I need the cash. Besides, I bought them on campus with my food card so I didn't even pay for them.

Every few dollars helps, right? My husband laughs at me when I return items to the store that only cost a few dollars, but what the heck.

I got home today and checked my jar of Peter Pan...and yes I do have the numbers 2111....and yes the jar is three-fourths GONE! Does that mean I have a stomach of iron or that I am just lucky?

I've got 2 empty ones and a 1/2 full one. That's just since school started last month too. I've been eating way too much peanut butter and jelly.
