I know there are alot of posters on the DL that love to golf. I think we should all get together sometime, somewhere and see who is the best.

I know Jason may claim the title already but it would be awesome to really see.

There's another way to play golf?!?!?

I played down in San Saba in October and it was beautiful, green, not very windy, large trees. Not like the West Texas Courses I'm used to.

I will drive the booze wagon. Have the tournament at the South Padre Island course. (Laguna Vista) It is awesome. Hell in the wind that always blows.

Played at Delaware Springs in a high school tourney back in the day, it was okay. I just remember it being very cold, and a long walk somewhere on the course into a 20 mph wind. I think it was the first tourney of the year that year.

I love Colo Vista in Bastrop but my back problem keeps me from playing now. I am very sad about it.

colo vista is a great course, I really like the back side, the front is only ok to me. couple good holes on the front, but back is great fun.

The pecan trees at San Saba are great. Love that course. A typical small town tract.

We could road trip to the Monterey Penninsula and so we could all play the most beautiful hole in golf:

I've always wanted to play Coeur d'Alene in Idaho...you have to take a boat to the green on this hole:

Yeah if you can stay out of the pecan trees you're fine but once you're in there its rough getting out.

Yea, Id love it, I would probably get murdered, but it would be fun. San Antonio has some really nice courses, La Cantera for one.

The Republic 60 (easy)
River Crossing 75 (short but scenic)
Pecan Valley 50ish (little run down)
Silver Horn 80 (just a good course)
Sonterra Club TOO MUCH (have to know a member)
Canyon Springs 70ish (very fun course)
out on hwy 90 just w of town 45 (also a fun course for the money)

There are some others, these are just a list of my favorites.

But that's how I feel about y'all showing these pictures, GOSH I can't wait for summer and to wear shorts and golf all day and drink beer all night. I long for those days.

Which course are you talking about here? There is one out west of San Antonio that I played with a friend once. I think Texas was somewhere in the name but I don't remember. It's where the St Mary's golf team practices is all I remember now.

Our first day in Tampa a few weeks ago...it was only in the 50's but the sun was out so I made a point to wear shorts to play golf...at least until I walked out to the first tee box and saw this right in front of me!!!

we seriously should have a little golf outing w/ as many as we can get. I say we wait til may or so then get after it. I say the more the marryer ??Sp??. Doesn't matter how good you are.

Heck I am only:
Good on great days
average on good days
bad on average days
and horrible on bad days

We could handicap it or something like that, I am probably a 12 or 14.
