the show or the episode. i always thought that was gonna be a stupid show. i refuse to watch. heros is much more realistic.

How was the episode annoying??? I was wondering when they were going to have the "race card" episode since that was a significant portion of the book. It definitely wasn't my favorite episode...and it created a few uncomfortable moments. However...I still think it's a very good show that will never see syndication! :( Because of the name...most people think it's a football show when it fact it is anything BUT a football show.

Smash was annoying. He was "okay" and didn't think anything of the coaches remarks until his g/f started pressuring him. :rolleyes: Then he leads a walk out? Whatever.

The powder puff stuff was funny and the father/daughter playing football was cute.

If it's not a football show they need to stop advertising it as a football show. This show is just another piece of network television crap that's right down there at the bottom of the barrel with reality tv and all the other crappy network tv. A perfect example of how mindless drama entertains the masses.

I watched it last night for the first time, because I liked the book a little and the movie a little bit more...disliked the TV show intensely...sure puts a bad light on coaches and the way that they talk and act. In all of my 40+ years, I never played for a coach that acted the way that staff acted (high school or college) and I sure hope I've never acted that way as a teacher/coach.

I think you're missing the point. TV is SUPPOSED to be entertainment...it's a break from reality. I don't get into reality TV shows because they AREN'T reality. When watching a regular show I expect it to be different from real life. It's not meant to portray real life...so I don't expect it to! ;)
