Does anybody else feel violated after buying them??? I wonder what the markup has to be in these? Say it takes 1 hour of labor ($10) for the arrangement. The flowers are worth maybe $15...then you get charged $75 for them!!!

Talk about fat cats

Talk about fat cats  Plus, they have no long lasting value. They're just gonna die.

Unless you're counting your wife's feelings, then I guess they would count for something. But at least a new rod and reel from Bass Pro Shops would last a lot longer and put food on the table.:D :D

I don't want something that is gonna die in a few days.

For $75 I could find lots of other things I would be happier with!!

my wife prefers me to take her to home depot or lowes and let her pick out plants and flowers for her flower bed.

My fiancee told me to pass on the flowers this year. This freed up funds for lingerie :inlove:, lotion, and jewelry.

Florists have capitalized on men's knowledge of the penalties they will pay for not paying the proper "tribute" to the ladies on Valentine's Day for years. It's like having the Ace of Spades as your "hole" card when playing High Chicago, Adidas. :D

I would rather go to home depot and pick out a new scroll saw or jigsaw, or something that I could actually use!!

I guess because I am not a "girly girl"...(which is another problem with my shoes), "guy toys" always seem funner!!:D :D

The Senior Class sells Carnations for Valentines Day - $1 each and they started just delivering at the schools and it's now spread to local businesses - great money making project and quite affordable to boot :)

Since it's the first go around with the girl...I had to play the standard flower card! ;) Between flowers and dinner...I'm going to feel the effects of this one for a while...thank God for tax refunds!!! :D

You aren't alone. I have not bought my mom something for Christmas or her birthday that didn't either come from Lowe's or Home Depot in God knows how long.

She owns more tools than my dad. She is really big into woodworking.

I make jewelry so I got the more feminine bug I guess....

:)

I have decided I want Valtrex for V-day.

So I can skip rocks across a beautiful lake, and then go camping, and fishing and hiking, and bikeriding!

Now that sounds like the perfect vacation....:D
