Zsa Zsa Gabor’s Husband Says He May Be Father Of Smith’s Baby
(February 9, 2007)—The legal battle over the paternity of Anna Nicole Smith’s 5-month-old daughter may be come a three-way fight.
The husband of actress Zsa Zsa Gabor said Friday that he had a decade-long affair with Smith and may be her infant daughter's father.
A judge Friday in California refused to issue an emergency order for DNA tests on Smith’s remains, but did order that Smith’s body be preserved until a full hearing on Feb. 20.
Smith died Thursday in a Florida hotel room at the age of 39.
The claim by Prince Frederick von Anhalt comes amid a paternity suit over Dannielynn Smith, who is reportedly in the care of friends in the Bahamas.
The birth certificate lists Dannielynn's father as attorney Howard K, Stern, but former Smith boyfriend Larry Birkhead is waging a legal challenge, saying he is the father.
Von Anhalt told The Associated Press in an interview Friday, "If you go back from September, she wasn't with one of those guys, she was with me."
He says he'll file a lawsuit if Dannielynn is turned over to Stern or Birkhead.
