Sanger is led by their QB #14 Chris Higgs (6-1, 185 Jr.). His passing (94-197-3 for 1344 yards and 13 TDs) and rushing (123-772-9) have taken them to the playoffs. They have two quality receivers: #3 Will Gilley 5-10, 150 Sr. (29 receptions 535 yards 5 TDs) and #5 Travis McFarland 6-3, 185 Sr (23 receptions 394 yards and 6 TDs). They also have a quality TE in #8 Gregg Gray 6-1, 185 Sr. (14 receptions 205 yards, but no TDs). They have scored 284 points and allowed 226 points. Their offensive yardage is fairly even (1639 passing, 1750 rushing). Their run defense will most likely cost them the game. They have allowed 1995 rushing yards (199.5/game), compared to 1179 (117.9/game)passing yards.

Kennedale is led by Rex Harper, Bryan Barrett, Chris Morris, Weldon Brooks, and Giorgio Bostice. The Wildcats have scored 491 points while amassing 2874 yards on the ground, with 1581 yards in the air. The defense has allowed 146 points (1276 yards rushing, 659 yards passing allowed). The defense has 4 shut-outs to their credit, including the win over Carter Riverside in which they only allowed a total net yardage of 1 yard (-8 rushing, 9 passing)! Kennedale's only loss was to Glen Rose (lost by 8 points). They have forced 22 fumbles (recovered 11), 13 interceptions, and 47 punts.

This one could be closer than you think. Kennedale's stats are decieving because of the horrible foursome of (Diamond Hill,Castleberry,Carter-Riverside,and Godley) Who were a combined- 8-32 for the year. As a matter of fact the combined record of all 10 opponents is 43-57. This may not mean a thing but it is interesting.

FYI- Sanger's opponents were 46-54 with 5 of them going to the play-offs. Kennedale had 3.

Using Playoff bound opponents as a measurement is not realistic since Sanger advanced to the playoffs with a 4-5, 1-3 record. Decatur and Celina were the only "power teams" Sanger played. Sanger lost to Decatur (8-1, 4-0) 7-50 and Celina (8-1, 3-1) 18-43! District 8-3A has 2 time defending State Champions Everman (8-2,6-1) which Kennedale defeated 30-16, Venus (6-4, 5-2 playoff bound)which Kennedale defeated 40-12, and Glen Rose (7-3, 5-2, but did not make the playoffs) who beat Kennedale (only loss for the year) 42-34. I believe that no team should be allowed into the playoffs with a losing record. It cheapens the entire bracket.

I don't doubt that Sanger will put up a fight. If they can have success throwing the ball, then they will probably keep the score respectable. If they cannot stop the run, then they will suffer.
District 8-3A had 4 teams with winning records (Kennedale, Everman, Venus, Glen Rose). Those that had losing records were stomped on by Kennedale (54-0 over Casteleberry, 52-0 over Godley, 69-0 over Carter Riverside, 55-10 over Diamond Hill-Jarvis). Kennedale and Everman will advance deep into the playoffs and both have a legitimate shot at State Champion titles.
Decatur will probably advance deep into the playoffs, but District 7-3A's run will end with them.

Just noticed...Collier-sharpe has Kennedale by 8 points. Might not be accurate, but that comes from an unbiased source. Might not be the runaway some think it will be. Then again if Kennedale is focused for Sanger and not looking past them to the next game, it could be a blow out.
