The Dallas ISD used Ellis Davis Field House to create a big-time atmosphere for signing day, and the athletes dressed for the occasion.

Most of the boys athletes were in suits of all different colors, ranging from traditional to Crayola. Lincoln defensive tackle Jacoby Veals, who signed with Tulsa, wore one that was a pinkish hue he described as "lilac." Veals said it was inspired by the rapper Nelly and actor Chris Tucker's character "Smokey" in the movie Friday.

"It's something special for signing day," Veals said. "I wanted to outdo everyone."
