I have heard that the Crandall and Forney girls are having a playoff game this Thursday night to dtermine who the district champ will be. Does anyone know where this game will be played and what time? Thanks.

Everything I've heard has said co-district champions. I haven't heard anything about a playoff, although it would be interesting.

Just heard that they will have a playoff Saturday night at 6:00 pm in Terrell for the district championship.

They will be co-champions of the district. They are having a game to get a tune up and decide playoff seedings.

Saturday night 6:00 Terrell. Sorry about that Thursday thing. Some of the girls on the team were a little confused. The coaches announced Saturday though.

Actually, some guys were talking about what would happen if they play the girls. They really weren't too confident.

there is NO way, a girls varsity could be their school guys varsity...they're too strong, too tall, and too quick...it would be no match

Yeah, I asked one of the girls today and she said the same thing. She said they're a great girls team, but wouldn't stand a chance against any guy team.

Nope, I am not in high school anymore. I had two brothers that graduated from Crandall last year. One played football and the other played basketball and baseball. I still got some friends on the basketball team. I graduated from Crandall in 97.

The Crandall girls won 58-46, I think that was the score.

Forney Girls Junior, Katie Nichols, tore her ACL the week before in a game...she didn't play in the Forney/Crandall 'play-off' game....thats too bad, she was a state champ high jumper and medalist in the hurdles last year.....

yeah, I saw her injury. It was really weird. She was running up court after a steal and all of the sudden collapsedafter coming to a quick stop to make a pass. I know she's had injury problems before with her knees, so I knew it was going to be bad.

As for the game Saturday, here's hoping that these girls meet again in a few rounds in the playoffs. The fourth time's a charm, right? :D

Yeah, i hated to hear that she tore her ACL. Crandall was also missing their best player, Kristen Russell. She tore her ACL early in district. She is really a great player and was the team leader. Her little sister Kacey has really stepped up and is playing pretty good. She is only a fresman and looks to have a bright future ahead of her.

Just saw on Dallasnews.com that Forney plays Wills Point tomorrow night at 8:00. Apparently it will be played here in Forney, although every other class 3A matchup is at a neutral site. Anybody have a clue why this is, or is this a misprint?

no its all true....coaches couldnt find a neutral site so they flipped for home-home...forney obviously won....
