Husband had a series of 3 injections in Aug of 1993 - he thought he was going to DIE after the 1st 2 shots - but after the 3rd one - he was much better - he has herniated disc at the L3, L4 and L5 (lower back) he has had a flare up or two since then, but my oldest son will do some PT on him and he's good to go after a week or two - Then, in Oct 97, he was in a head on train accident and jumped from a moving freight train going 28 mph and landed on his left side and left shoulder area and literally tore all those tendons to shreads and shattered 3 disc in his neck. After the shoulder stuff healed, he ended up having 3 cervical disc fused and that has been successful as well....... We feel extrememly lucky that the lumbar shots and cervical surgery worked for him. I hope you have the some success in your shots.......

i have a herniated disc c6 c7 and after the 1st shot i felt no pain at all. i would recommend that you dont let them put you to sleep to do this, as it didnt hurt at all and you can walk out after the procedure rather than going to recovery and waiting around until you feel better. my insurance wouldnt cover being put to sleep and i am glad of that.

They got to do that once and only once to me Kao. That cortisone feels like they are puting a golfball in there. It ain't happening here again and I ain't no wussy. Maybe the Chinese guy who did it did a poor job, but I can guarantee you, no one else is gonna ever have a chance to try to do it right. Not this guy. Good luck to ya!

The doctor told me he could do them once a month and I told him it wasn't happening. I had another doctor do an epidermal and go in the spinal cord and he injected the T-5 and T-7. It has been two years and it is the greatest thing that I could have had done.

Go for it ka. But if they hurt you, let me know. I'm sending you my cell phone no. so we can hunt down the "doctor" and take care of his mistake.:)

I had the series of three injections about two years ago. I played golf two days later. I did get relief but it was temporary and wound up getting three vertebrae fused and have had good results. Good luck.

It's not bad at all and you will feel much better. It should relieve the pain almost immediately. Good luck.

Throw some dirt on it and play, you sissy.

Seriously though, my dad had a herniated disc in his neck and had to have those shots, and it took him awhile to get better, and if this could make that man hurt, I think it would hurt any and everyone who experiences it. I know you're going to hear a lot of horror stories, but just tough it out. In most instances it's a lot of a person's perserverance and willingness to be positive to overcome the pain. Keep a positive outlook and we'll all be hoping for the best.
