That "worst uni ever" poll needs a new addition

Remember about a month ago when I started a poll about the worst uniforms ever worn? Well, I just saw the 2007 Pittsburgh Pirates unis, and I think that there's a much needed addition to that poll...see for yourself:

That is horrible, when did the pirates start having red as a main color, that is about as dumb as the padres with their camouflage

From the Pirates website:

1948

The team replaced the traditional blue and red with the present day black and gold. The script "Pirates" and "Pittsburgh" was replaced with the block lettering that you still see today. The cap became solid black with a gold "P".

IMO, that's a cheap explanation for introducing a new color into the jersey. Guess they're going away from the "We are Family" theme of the seventies when all the Pittsburgh teams went to the same colors.

You asked when the pirates started having red as a main color. Apparently at the beginning of the team. Does anybody really care about the "We are Family" Pirates anymore anyway? I agree the jersey is pretty crazy, but they probably look at it as something else to sell.
