OK, help me out here. I didn't make it to the banquet, and I don't know who received awards. So which way was the race card played? BROCK IS WHITE AND I AM SURE HE GOT SOME AWARDS! Dock was all state defensive player of the year, I am sure he got a defensive award!

They were 8 or 9 guys who won awards at the Football Banquet, and my buddy noticed that they were all white...

Like I said, I still don't know who got what. But, I can assure you that if it is the case it was not a intentional race thing. I am pretty sure you could ask anyone on the team if there is any race issues in the whole program and they would say NO.

Who knows, maybe someone thought he should play more or something like that, but it would only be like 1 or 2 indiduals that would blame it on race.

Maybe some justification for the majority of white players getting awards would be that one of them was the best rusher in the state. Another was the defensive player of the year. I am going out on a limb here but I am pretty sure that we didn't have a black lineman start on either side of the ball (due to lack of black lineman, not a race thing). This is just a start, but I don't think that what you heard went real far. I haven't heard it from anyone at all, and things get around pretty quick in giddings, like most small towns I would think.

well actually im kinda tired of the 21-20 myself but my point was that you said charels said that because Giddings had beaten us in somthing and he posted that to make hisself feel better......I dont recall such a beating
