Blue Turf coming to 3A Hidalgo?

That God awful Blue Field... the one I detest to a major level! Rumor has it Hidalgo is getting a blue turf field start the 2007 season.

Why would anybody want blue turf on their football field? Doesn't the UIL have a rule for that???

have you been to Hidalgo??? A town like that will do anything that it can for exposure.

Smurf Turf would not make any sense for Hidalgo. Their colors are dark Navy Blue----almost Black.

Doesn't matter what color their turf is. Won't make them win any more games. They'll always be a distant 3rd to PI and Rio Hondo in that district.

they should of upgraded their grand stands...one of the smaller in 32-3A if I remember correctly. wish we would get turf too but next on the agenda is a new middle school.

I always heard about this rumor and kamakazie ducks thinking the turf was water...

According to Wikipedia:
