The Bulldogs continued their rampage through District 7-3A by dismantling Sweetwater 59-31 on Tuesday night.

Michael Strong scored a team-high 12 points for the third-ranked Bulldogs (24-2, 5-0), who led 29-11 at the intermission and rested their starters for most of the second half.

The Bulldogs have won each of their first five 7-3A games by at least 22 points.

''The things that had been consistent for us were there again tonight,'' Wylie coach Russell Perkins said. ''We were able to get out early in the first quarter and get some good things, especially on the defensive end.''

Sweetwater (2-15, 1-3) saw its chances for an upset virtually disappear when point guard and leading scorer Thomas Holsey bumped heads with Strong in the first quarter and left the game to get stitches. No Mustang scored more than six points in his absence.
