Texas RB Held Out Too Long?

Michael Buse received a scholarship offer from Kansas in September, but held out for some other offers to come along. We caught up with Buse Thursday night to see the latest news.

Anyone know the details of this story? I'd like to know, but I'm not about to subscribe to Scout.com. :p

There is some truth to your post...actually, the offer from KU came before summer last year, and yes Michael didnt take it (original letter dated 3/28/06). His heart was set on another school, but that didnt work out. We will know more in a week or two, it's probably best we dont say much until its done...but its real close. We'll let you know.

Ummm..Carter...you've been eating too many Pop Tarts, Sparky. I didnt say I would "never" come back...I said I wouldnt be in chat anywhere near as much as I was during the season. In fact, I haven't been in there since, but will check it later tonight. You'll remember I said I would check in once in a while..but then again, you tend to make things up, so....maybe you DON'T remember!!! LOLOOL

And yes, Yourboss...he is quite the player. Sure wish he was able to play with all his wits about him against ya'll this year...but thats how it goes. I really am not sure if he remembers ANY of the game...he doesnt talk about it much. I know he doesnt remember the first half. You guys really took that game with great play...I respect that.

They didnt "revoke" anything because it was never accepted by Mike. They are still discussing it, and there are other possibilities he is looking at. I gave him my advice months ago...accept the KU offer NOW. He disagreed. Whatcha gonna do???

IDK who he holding out for. I hope it is not A&M because I do not think they are going to offer, plus he could possibly see the field next year at KU, no offense to him but he will likely be on the bench most of his career if he were to go to A&M, they just recruit way more top notch talent then KU. Thats my honest opinion. If I were him i would of taken the KU offer a long time ago, unless I was interested in CSU or UH. Didnt they offer him?

No, not formally anyway. I did what I could to get him to sign with KU. We'll see how things work out.

According to his rivals Profile he has an offer on the table from Colorado State and Houston.
