Big story over at the 4a board. Any of you folks able to confirm. R-F guys were pretty certain about the move.

He has, apparently, been approved by the Rockport School Board.

Hey GO I have worked in Bandera on a prior job before and have spent several nights there and it is a great town. One time after a long day at work I went to the motel room and watched the Cowboys play Minnesota and saw Tony Dorsett's great 99 yard touchdown run. That was many years ago.

I have also worked in Rockport on my job before years ago. In fact even recently I have taken my boys to the beach there and they like it. I have also taken them fishing on one of the piers there too. It is a nice city along the Gulf Coast.
Bandera is in the hill country.

The Commissioner on TexasHSFootball.com informed me that it's official. We'll see though.

Why did Burleson leave R-F?

I'm not sure he wasnt forced out.

Well, I thought that might be a possibility since most of the jobs open now are ones that made early moves and that usually means a force out on the former HC. I just didnt want to come out and ask if Stuart got fired. Anyone know where he is headed?

Must be good pay. R-F has been a revolving door for coaches over the years.

I went to school with the new RF coach Guy Grover.

Grover wasn't forced out...and apparently his coaching staff didn't know he was applying for the job. Good luck to him at Rockport.

Grover did quite well at Skidmore and AP.

He coached one year at Skidmore-Tynan(went one and out in playoffs). He had one good year at AP(with Tommy Blake as RB). He went to the playoffs once in 4 years at Bandera.

IMHO, R-F messed up by not hiring Orange Grove's Kornegay

I have to agree with you on that one. Kornegay would have been the better catch. He is a very good coach a hard working one and a good guy.

Figures the guy would be a GP graduate. Too bad he couldn't go coach at Sinton and live in Ingleside....;)
