this is disgusting..............maybe Texas needs to inforce some of the rehabilitation laws that the state of Colorado does.....

DENTON, Texas (AP) - A former Denton County constable who pleaded guilty to soliciting sex with children on the Internet has received a sentence of six years to life in prison.
Larry Dale Floyd, 62, pleaded guilty to three counts of enticement of a child in November. He was sentenced Tuesday in a Canon City, Colo., court.
Authorities say Floyd drove to Fremont County, Colo., in July 2005 to meet with a woman he thought was willing to offer him her 8-year-old daughter. Floyd also was interested in a 3-year-old girl and 16-month-old boy he thought were the children of the woman's friend, according to an affidavit.
But the woman Floyd had been corresponding with online and calling for almost two months was actually an undercover Canon City, Colo., police officer.
At the time of his arrest, Floyd was a Denton County constable. He was suspended following his indictment on suspicion of sexual assault of a child, inducement of child prostitution, trafficking in children, criminal solicitation and other charges in Colorado. Most of the counts were dropped as part of a plea deal.
He was also charged in Texas with three counts of possession of child pornography after a search of his home.
Floyd told authorities about being accused of sexually assaulting children he knew as well as foreign exchange students and foster children that had lived with him and his wife, according to an affidavit.
Although Floyd will be eligible for parole after serving six years of his indeterminate sentence, Colorado has tough rehabilitation standards for sex offenders. Since those measures were imposed, only two sex offenders have been paroled, said prosecutor Kathy Eberling.
