Whose ranking is this? Just out of curiousity because it's kind of nice to see Sinton and Fal so high on the list.

the only thing that rankings are good for is looking at. all that matters in the season is district play and the playoffs...thats what separates the good teams from the not-so-good teams.

bandera should be good this year, they have a good pitcher coming back...he held us to 1 run in the playoffs last year.

that would be Lutz, but we have some other studs coming back as well. We have some great athletes out in the field, and more than one good pitcher. But the real story is our catcher. He is amazing, I know he is a three year starter, I dont think it is four, but it could be.

did bride city lose alot of players or what? you would think for having a team that went 33-6, they'd be alot higher than 15...im not knockin my alma mater, but i think they might be a little to high...atleast trade places with bc or soemthing.

Who cares who the #1 standaround participants are located in Texas.

Bridge City lost 7 starters last year but they still return CF/P Johnny Dishon who has already signed with LSU, P Jeff Stringer who has already committed to Lamar, and Jr C Casey Jackson who will be playing D1 ball somewhere. They have a good nucleus...just a matter if other guys step up to fill the holes left by last year's seniors.

Ha Ha. I feel your pain. We play Snyder(#4) three times in district. We also play Lubbock Cooper (#7) and Midland Lee (#6 in 5A) in our non-district schedule. I like it though. Greenwood has lost their bi-district game 5 years in a row. We ought to be prepared for the competition this year.

Deep down, you do! Through all the ridicule and criticism I sense an admiration for the standaround game and its high profile participants.

I wonder when Wylie would play Decatur in the playoffs...it's been a few months since they've beat them in the playoffs and now that the Canyon dominance is on hold...it's time to pick on Decatur! ;)

I know Bullfrog... what is refreshing is that thanks to Antonio Pittman, at my next high school reunion, 20 as a matter of fact, we can now celebrate that we won 4 state titles in every sport, that makes things more festive... if we could all only grow the curly mullets back then it would be awesome

LE lost 5 seniors from last year's state championship team, but returns some experienced players from last year, including a group who were key as juniors last year. The team has lost a couple of up-and-comers to moves, etc., so the Leopards will have to fight for it to stay in there. They have high expectations and a good work ethic, though.

Is anybody from Silsbee on this board? I thought the Tigers would have gotten a Top 10 ranking.

They return an All-State pitcher who ought to be a Top 5 pitcher in 3A this year (Schooling), a very good hitting outfielder (Calhoun), a catcher who is good defensively and is a decent hitter(Hargrave), and a number #2 pitcher who would be the ace at many 3A schools (McDonald). I think they return two other starters as well from a team that finished 10-0 in district last year.

I think Silsbee is ranked right where they need to be. They've had very little success in the past, but are trying to build a competitive program. The last two years have been great for the Tigers. (1 district championship, 2 playoff trips)
