Jerry

Mike Singletary

He was a hard-nosed linebacker with the Bears and has impressed in some interviews with his knowledge and gameplan. His biggest hindrance is coaching experience, but he seems to be the kind of coach who would take the players he's given and make it work with what he has. Those are strong characteristics to have with a GM like Jerry.

I don't care who as long as they don't become Jones' puppet. At least Parcells had some balls.

You mean offensive weapons and a poor pass defense?

exactly...that's the scheme that he used to take the Rams to the playoffs five times...and they were a dominant team of the early 2000's...he can improve the offense, and the defense is going to be what it's going to be.

I'm kinda leaning towards Wade Phillips because of his defensive and contribution in the retainment of the 3-4 and also because he is a Texas boy! He grew up in Orange, Texas and played for the University of Houston.

My Top 4 in order

1. Mike Martz he has the offensive mind to use all the Cowboys weapons and make them a force to be reckon with on the offensive side of the ball of course you would have to get a good DC to help him out

2. Jim Mora even though he took a job as the Seattle secondary coach he might leave that to take this job. He was a great coach in Atlanta and was only axed because of a stupid comment he made with a no none sense kind of owner but still a good choice

3. Ron Riveria has coached one of the best defenses in the league the past few seasons he will have the Cowboys defense strong. However hes not a 3-4 guy so that hurts his chances and I dont really want to see the Cowboys switch defenses again this year.

4. Mike Singletary he was a great player and all reports are saying he was stellar in Miami during the interview process the no coaching experience could hurt him and will be the reason he doesnt have a chance at this job. But I think he would do some good things given the opportunity

I only wish he would be the one with Mike Martz or Norv Turner as the OC/ Co-Head Coach

STOOPS is not a bad coach, I admit, But I don't like him. So if he didn't produce immediately I would hate him for sure and become a texan

I wish we could get cower

Jerry called me today and offered the job to me, but he told me to keep it quiet for a few days. I'll be looking to hire assistant coaches, so send me your resumes.

I just read that Lovie Smith is due for an extension after the SB and could possibly be available soon. It's a long shot, but it's possible.
