Not all in this order but I would have to go with Dick Butkus, Ray Nitschke (SP?), Mike Singletary, Ray Lewis, Lawrence Taylor, Derrick Thomas... just to start. If you go with just college career you gotta put Brian Bosworth in there even though he sucked in the NFL.

In no particular order:

Dick Butkus-Chicago

Mike Singletary-Chicago

Bronco Negerski (sp?)-Green Bay

Ray Lewis-Baltimore

Lawrence Taylor-NY Giants

Jack Ham-Pittsburgh

Jack Lambert-Pittsburgh

Ted Hendricks-Oakland

More later................

There is only one mention of Brian Urlacher on this thread...

He is without a doubt the most underrated player in the NFL today. He should definitely make the list, that guy is everywhere.

I got a feeling this might be the year for him

Many may disagree with my next comment but here goes: I never truly think of Lawrence Taylor as being a great LB. A great pass rusher, yes. I don't feel like he was used in a way that I would define a LB.

MY list:

Lambert, Ham, Huff, Nitsche, Singletary, Butkus, Urlacher, Kenny Norton Jr, Seau, and Zach Thomas.

I hope it is. Because I hate the PATS and COLTS. and dont particularly care for the Saints either.

The Saints have a good story don't get me wrong, but they've never played in the cold like they will on Sunday, it'll do things to you

I like the Saints this year, but i think they mde a mistake not going to a cold rea for practice this week. Having played in Texas in my youth, i know that the ball does not do the same things in the cold that it does in the warmth of a hot day, and neither does your body, especially your hands.

According to a Sports Ill. players poll, Urlacher is the most overrated player in the NFL. I tend to agree with that poll.
