ESPN has cancelled Quite Frankly, a nightly talk show hosted by Steven A. Smith since its August 2005 inception. The show’s finale was to air Friday night.

now the bad news

Smith will stay with the network in other roles, including hosting four interview specials tied to major sporting events and appearing on network flagship highlight show SportsCenter and NBA programming

Cannot stand Steven A. Smith. All he does is try to stir the pot & get it going. He offers nothing to any show.

Funny thing is, Smith's best strength is his writing as a newspaper columnist. He should have stuck with that!

Quite frankly, Steven A. Smith is simply terrible (in my best bronx accent)

That show was quite possibly the worse show on ESPN. He is so annoying.

The reason they cancelled it is because he sucks and should not have had his own show

The best thing that ever happened on that show was Shaq calling out Eric Dampier and saying that he belonged in the WNBA..that was purely hilarious!

He's a great writer and could've been an alright host with a better audience if ESPN would've brought someone in to balance him out. So far, I haven't seen anyone from Bristol who can play off him and poke fun at his hard-headedness. He needs a Kenny.

But then again, I lost the few shreds of credibility I had for ESPN when they got rid of David Aldridge in favor of Smith. DA may not have been as much of a character, but I doubt you'll find anyone (even David Stern) who knows the league inside and out as well as DA.

I've never called ESPN a racist but i find it highly suspicious that Sean Salisbury wasn't fired for doing what he did, but HR was for just hugging a woman....
