Sosa is done. Bat speed nowhere near what it once was. He won't make the team unless a miracle happens. 12 HRs away from 600, that is his motive to play again.

most "experts" says it a small risk for the Rangers - if they end up letting him go they are out very little $, and just maybe he can have a good, productive year

Sure it is a small risk, it's a minor league deal. He won't make the team IMO. He looked done in Baltimore.

Same with Hidalgo in Houston, small risk & more than likely does not make team.
