Freezing rain is now forecast in Victoria to begin about 3 p.m. today and continue through the afternoon. The temperature will drop to 28 degrees by 1 p.m., according to Accuweather.com.
Temperatures will remain in the neighborhood of 28-29 degrees all afternoon until the evening when it climbs to about 31 degrees.
Residents are urged to take care of tender vegetation and make other necessary preparations for a hard freeze.
