Here's a trivia question that came out of researching this....

The first team ever to win 12 games in a season since the official UIL playoffs began in 1920 was Abilene's 12-0-0 State Champs of 1923

The first team to notch 13 wins in a season was Waco's 1925 State Champs

The first team to win 14 games was Waco's legendary 1927 team that went 14-0-0, taking the State Championship after 13 games and getting their 14th win against Latin High in Cleveland, Ohio for what was billed at the time as the National championship game.

It's relatively well known that the first team to win 16 games in a season was Daingerfield's legendary 1983 State Championship team.

But my question is what was the first Texas high school football team ever to win 15 games in a season? I will tell you that the Giddings 1951 State Championship team was the 2nd team ever to achieve this feat.
