WC lost Minks & others
Sweeny lost Williams & others
Needville should return a good team...

So is this the year Wharton breaks through & wins district? Coach Cerutti does a good job over there. Best of luck.

COLUMBUS WILL BE LEAD BY TROMBLEE WHO AINT BAD ON THE MOUND. THROWS HARD AND HAS A PRETTY GOOD KNUCKLE CURVE. LOOK FOR THEM TO TAKE THE #3 SEED IN DISTRICT.

Keep forgetting Columbus is in this district again. Good baseball program no doubt. Play very good volleyball as well. Columbus lost a lot of pitching, but they will be in the hunt.

Ought to be a good race between Wharton, Columbus, Columbia, and Needville. I would probably pick Wharton.

Didn't I read somewhere that the 15-16 all-star team from Needville did real well in the state tournament? Maybe quite a few guys contribute this year from that group.

I think you are thinking of El Campo, who won the 15 yr. old group. Needville does return a bunch of kids though. Sweeny should be decent, maybe better than I think. They have to find some pitching behind Tank Carder. The Hornback kids can play but they lost 6 starters. Time will tell how they come together.

WC lost Minks (Texas A&M). Sweeny lost Williams (Texas). Those 2 were the district & county co-MVPs for a reason. It should be a dogfight to the end.
