Look at Martin's PAT stats. He's been with the Cowboys for over a month and it shows that they haven't produced much lately. Dallas also had a top 5 defense a little over a month ago. I'm a die-hard fan but jeez this skid has me mucho :mad: :o :mad: .

Same players just bad game preparations. If they can get that defensive of play they had earlier in the year(first 10 games they were top 5 in defense) they have as good as anybody in the playoffs still.

You always claim JJ has ruined the "class" of Dallas. Yet the old Cowboys had as many problems with arrests, problem players and all that, but simply back then the media did not dig up every thingt they could.

You say Jones is all about money. Why do you think Tex was considered a marketing genuis? Cause he found every avenue to make money.

The ONLY difference between the eras is the fact the media coverage in the "old" days was no where near as saturated as it is in this era

I think he stays & Parcells walks.

To compare TO & Mickey Mantle is a travesty to the Mick. NO ONE & I repeat NO ONE ever had a problem with Mickey Mantle as teammate. Mickey Mantle was not a media hound. Mickey Mantle did not disgrace the game or his coaches. Yes, he had a drinking problem, but it ends there. It eventually killed him.

Just because you do hs radio play-by-play does not mean you are the authority on all things media related. Everyone gets more coverage today at all levels, & not just sports. That is fact. And it still does not excuse the actions & antics of a guy like TO.

I think replay has gone too far in this case. How can a TV camera angle give an accurate depiction of forward progress? How could it be better than the linesman's spot. I was sure that they would never over rule the linesman's judgement of forward progress, but they did. I don't care about who won the game, I'm not a big fan of either team, but I think overturning that spot was a crock.

To compare TO & Mickey Mantle is a travesty to the Mick. NO ONE & I repeat NO ONE ever had a problem with Mickey Mantle as teammate. Mickey Mantle was not a media hound. Mickey Mantle did not disgrace the game or his coaches. Yes, he had a drinking problem, but it ends there. It eventually killed him.

Just because you do hs radio play-by-play does not mean you are the authority on all things media related. Everyone gets more coverage today at all levels, & not just sports. That is fact. And it still does not excuse the actions & antics of a guy like TO.

Where have I ever said I was an authority? So the fact Mickey was a good teamate it is ok that the media sat on stories of his drinking antics? And how was he a great teamate when he himself admitted he hurt his own career and his teams with his drinking.

How do we know Mantle was a media hound or not NONE back then were the media was a different animal then.

Why do you have a problem with someone disagreeing with you? debates are fun, yet you like to find ways to put in subtle shots. I am not naive, I have NEVER claimed to an authority.

I am not blinded by anything..when I see something I dont like the Cowboys doing I will say something. Just because I have not tried to blame every problem on Jones and TO just means that. They both have their flaws, but TO did not tear the team down.

Ur right. I think it was a homer job all the way. It was a horrible angle. There was no way that call should have been overturned.

I have no problem if we disagree, this is a forum. But Mickey Mantle never tore teams apart or disgraced the game. Yes, he drank too much & it killed him. I have never heard one single teammate make disparaging comments about him. TO's certainly have, right? TO has been on 3 teams in recent years because he refuses to play by the rules, so to speak. It's all about him. What has Dallas done since 1996? They won with Jimmy's talent & when he left it all started to crumble. JJ got exposed for being a great businessman & not a great football guy. Can you disagree with those facts?
