Hmmm....my husband is from Crane. Coach Cherry wasn't very well liked when he was there!

He wasnt? I know he won there when they were 3A , did he have an attitude? Heard this from someone from Hamlin once too.

G2....Is this the same Bay City coach who lost a game in '05 by taking points off the board by unsuccesfully going for 2 after a penalty on the other team after a successful 1 pt PAT which tied it up?

I remember a Crane RB in 98'-99' who was really good. Can't remember his name, but he singlehandedly almost beat the Bulls in playoff game during one of those seasons. One of the most coureageous efforts I ever saw for 4 Quarters. He never gave up and ran hard gun-to-gun and laid on the field exhausted after the final gun after Crane ran out of downs on the Bull 7.

I saw Crane beat Lampasas in a playoff game in either San Angelo or Abilene, early 80s I think ...

Bay City would have done much better if they would have played a weaker schedule.

Speaking of schedule, this won't effect the Bay City/ Cuero game in 2007, will it?

Harold Jefferies was a real load... he was a major factor in bootin' da Mules out of the playoffs in the area round in 2001. Nearly as good a runner as that bad-butt Childress running back Michael Briscoe same year...
