If you have ever read any of the Harry Potter books, or watched any the movies, the obvious answer would be using a portkey.

45 soth is the quickest, just get on 20 east til you hit south dallas then turn onto 45 south and its a straight shot to houston then take the outer loop in houston then follow the signs that lead you to beaumont, it will take like an 45 minutes or an hour to get there.

last time I went to dallas, I took Highway 105 to I-45 to Dallas, don't know if it's actually faster or not, but took me about 5 hours driving 80-85 the whole way. you definitely don't want to go all the way down to Houston though to get to Beaumont, you'll be adding additional time to your trip.

I thought about taking 45 all the way to Houston... but I know for sure on 287 its like a little less than 5 hours from Ft. Worth to Beaumont ...where taking 45 to Houston is 4.5 by itself....I thought you could take 45 to maybe Madisonville and then cut across on 108 maybe?? I dunno...where are my people from WOS when I need em!

not sure yet....prolly in a couple of weeks....I always make sure to stop at Texas Burger when in Fairfield...

Actually if I take 287 all the way I won't come through Fairfield...I'll go from Mansfield, Midlothian, Waxahachie, Ennis, Corsicana and the Palestine...once outta Palestine I believe I hit Elkhart and then on down to Crockett..from Crockett to Groveton, Groveton, to Corrigan then Woodville and so on...LOL

It depends upon how you like to drive.

If you prefer interstate driving, you should simply drive IH-45 south to Conroe and then take Hwy. 105 east to Beaumont. If you select this option, be careful: there's a dog-leg/offset in Cleveland, so you'd have to carefully follow the highway signs. There's also a fork on the eastern side of Cleveland.....one way goes to Dayton and the other goes toward Sour Lake and Beaumont.

If you don't mind the winding, single-lane, scenic highways, then Hwy. 287 to Hwy. 69/287 is more direct; but it can be slower as you sometimes stop at red lights in the smaller towns. The same is true for taking the route of Hwy. 175 to Jacksonville and then Hwy. 69 south to Beaumont. I've found Hwy. 69 between Jacksonville and Beaumont to be a scenic drive, and relatively quick; but I'm not as familiar with Hwy. 175. I've mostly driven to Tyler and Canton.

I prefer the drive through the pine forests of east Texas. Some of the areas have rolling hills, and the forests make for a pleasant drive. You'll want to open the windows if it's not too cold for all the fresh air. If you don't have a preference, then I recommend taking 175 to Jacksonville and 69 south to Beaumont.

I hope this helps.

I am familiar with 175...its not bad at all between Dallas and Mabank.....the stretch between Mabank and Jacksonville isn't real good...and unless things have changed I know there are several lights in Jacksonville you have to navigate through since they don't have a loop....

The planes in the DFW area are too big to land at the Beaumont Airport, Haircare, and tire center.

Why does it have to be direct?

because by the time you get to the airport 1 hour early, wait to board, have a layover in Houston for a LONG time (only 4 flights into BPT daily if I remember correctly), You could have driven to Beaumont in the amount of time it'd take to actually FLY here ;)

You could still fly to Houston and drive the 90 minute drive to Beaumont using a Rental Car. Would be quicker (and cheaper) than flying directly into BPT from Houston.

No Direct Flights from LOVE either, nothing, nadda, zilch. unless you have a private plane ;)

Oh, heck. 2 1/2 hours including layover and I seriously doubt they need you an hour before your flight in Beaumont.

That hour before your flight is for crowded airports.
