Blackeye peas anyone? (NF)

I posted this on another forum... thought some on here would enjoy as well...

This recipie has been a favorite around our house, it sure makes plain ol black eyes pretty good!

Creole Black Eye Peas

2 cans regular black eye peas
1 can jalopeno black eye peas
1 quart of tomatoes (diced)
1 cup of chopped onions
1 cup of minced celery
1 lb of Jimmy Dean Sausage (hot)

Place all ingedients (except sausage)in crock pot on cook 6-8 hours. Brown sausage and add to mixture.

You can adjust as you want...some use more jalopeno than regular peas....you can use whatever flavor of sausage you want....we brown the sausasge and cook the entire time with the peas...

It isn't your old fashioned black eyes.....

Instead of the celery, onions, and tomatoe's could you substitute it with rotel?
