MIAMI -- Muhammad Ali is adding some punch to this year's FedEx Orange Bowl. Arnold Palmer is taking a swing of his own for his alma mater.
Ali and Palmer were chosen Thursday to be honorary captains at next week's game between No. 5 Louisville and No. 15 Wake Forest. Ali is supporting Louisville, while Palmer is backing the Demon Deacons.
Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade will also participate in bowl game festivities, the Orange Bowl Committee said. This year marks the first time three Sports Illustrated "Sportsman of the Year" winners have participated in the bowl game.
Ali won the award in 1974 and Palmer was chosen in 1960 after he captured the Masters and the U.S. Open. Wade was this year's winner.
