Cheddars is good or Chilis, ya know, all the chain places. I wish there were some more ma and pa type original places. There is this one Italian place called Fritella (sp?) that I heard was pretty good and it is independently owned. I was planning on going there one time but my plans got changed. It is on Texas going towards Bryan right after you cross University on the right. Good luck bro!

Texas Roadhouse by far....and then take them to the new Premiere theater on Hwy 6....it is extremely nice, you basically sit in recliners watching the movie...

Yeah, it's on Harvey Rd. Other options for Italian food are Cenare on University over by the Schellenberger's Suit Club (it's in a little shopping center) and Fritella's on Texas Avenue heading towards Bryan.

There's another cool little place that used to be in downtown Bryan called Clementine's, but I'm not even sure if it's still there.

If you have money and don't mind spending, Christopher's is always a good call. It's the only 'fancy' place I've ever been to in the area, but it's pretty good. Mostly steaks and such, but it'll run you about $25 a plate instead of the $10-$15 you'd spend on Italian.

If you want steaks but don't want to spend $25, I'd recommend Oxford Street Pub in Bryan. It's on Briarcrest and has the best steaks in town (yup, even better than Christopher's). It's comparable to the Texas Roadhouse in price, maybe a little more expensive, but definitely worth it. Also, the lights are turned down so it's great for a date. It was the first place I ever tried escargot, but I wouldn't recommend the escargot unless both of you are feeling a little adventurous.

Oh, and buff4life is right about the new theater in Bryan. So much more comfy and you can bring your student ID and get a discount.

Me neither. Based on my extensive knowledge of the subject, I say it is extremely overrated.;)

It doesn't look like it, but Doe's is friggin' expensive. Every bit as expensive as Christopher's. Amanda and I spent $75 on an appetizer, two steaks (one steak and shrimp), and two iced teas there.

It's really good food (best shrimp in B/CS by far), but for the money and considering you're on a date, I'd go with Christopher's or Oxford street over Doe's.
