Because I obviously don't have enough to do, I did a quick survey of mascots. Bulldogs are far and away the most popular with 23 teams. The remainder of the top 10
Eagles 16
Tigers 12
Panthers 12
Wildcats 10
Pirates 9
Lions 8
Bobcats 6
Indians 5
Yellowjackets 5
My personal favorites are the Devine Warhorses and the Progreso Red Ants.

206 teams and the top 10 teams make up 106 mascots.
Last years state champs both had mascots in the top 10. Bulldogs (1st) and Tigers(3rd)
