Saw that about a year ago. Wonderful movie.

Antichrist 3 out of 5
Very disturbing, dark, artistic horror/nc17 hell borderline pornographic. Shocking stuff. Not for the faint of heart. Not gory, but can't really explain. If I remember correctly, only two actors in the whole movie. People with delicate sensibilities need not watch. Lots of psychological undertones and symbolism.

I watched Inglorious Bastards this weekend. 3-3.5 out of 4
To me it was a heckova re-Write to WW2. I heard complaints about a Quentin-style foreign captioned kind of movie. It didn't bother me and actually in my mind, helped. One of his best movies ever.
The twist ending was all guilty pleasure in a sick kind of way. Not for the kiddos for sure.
Brad Pitt as a 1940's young Tennessee-an? I'm not sure if I care if the accent was correct(even though the movie begs to differ itself because of the plot)). I don't know anyone from Tennessee who knows how those folks sounded back then.

The time period essentially serves as another character developing as the story unfolds. The main antagonist of the movie, the Nazi guy, was awesome in that role. As usual, Tarantino dialogue was great.

I agree. That guy was riveting in his role. You really started to pay attention to everything he had to say looking for clues on where he was going in the dialogue.

Zombieland was freakin awesome. I laughed my butt off when Bill Murray got whacked.

Halloween II was a little out there. I like Rob Zombie movies and credit him for his originality but this one had me kind of scratching my head a little. I didn't hate it but I can't say I like it either.

I agree(saw it last night). I gave it 2 out of 4 stars, if only because of the cool visuals. The danged movie kinda left you depressed.

Precious - Monique did an excellent job, well deserved Oscar, but the rest of the movie I couldn't help think...why is this getting SO much hype? I've seen several other movies with the same plot.

The Box - It was a little creepy, but I really liked it aside from the fact that it portrays women as greedy, evil people. :D

"Hurt Locker" - very good movie. Don't see it as a realistic portrayal of what's going on, but if you take it as just a drama, it's definitely worth the money.

Watched the first seven episodes of The Sopranos this weekend (which basically is worth watching 3 movies). Holy crap I can't believe I've never watched these before. I plan on watching the rest of the first season and renting all the other DVDs very, very soon.

Ehh, it was OK.
2 out of 4 stars, if only because of the decent old English production. Little shock value here, even with the plot twist.
Goodness, I can't stand today's "shock value" now.
Del Torro should not have been the main character. Something didn't seem right. Anthony Hopkins did fine though.

The Marine 2- good action movie not the best acting but pretty entertaining.

I guess that's why I liked it (except the very long trip part - movie was way too long). To me, it wasn't a movie with a beginning and end, but rather a scene from people's ongoing lives. Stuff was going on before the movie, and the characters lives will presumably go on after. I also agree that it could never figure out its mood, but life doesn't have a mood. Sometimes it's everyone having a good time, but then serious things set it, and you have to laugh through it.

Just me, though; different strokes for different folks :)

Anybody else have this problem or does Redbox just not like me? I would have been fairly ticked off if this caused me to return a movie late. Finally watched it last night. I agree. It was a great movie.

The only thing I'm sure of is that Meryl Streep is a badass! She absolutely made me HATE her in this movie and I love Meryl. If something improper was going on, then obviously she should have been a pitbull, BUT she had no proof. Just her suspicions (doubts) and her dislike/trust of the priest. The look she gives him in the principal's office (when she is trying to get him to confess) was classic! haha

Would it be totally naive of me to think that nothing was going on with the black kid, but totally think something was going on with trouble maker kid? His reactions to the priest were troubling.

Piranha in 3D - woo hoo awesome cheese fest! :D Lots of nudity to keep the males entertained and plenty of blood & gore. The acting was bad, but it's a cheese flick and you gotta go in to watch just for pure sillyness. I laughed a lot at just the outlandish stuff. Plus, my mom had a good time, so it is all good.

Percy Jackson - was really good.

After.Life - was really well done and left you with so many questions. great cast.

Haunting in Connectict - :( meh. I closed my eyes a lot :D

The Life Before her eyes - was really, really good.

This may not be a movie but I am now addicted to LOST, the tv series. Why did I not watch it with some of you talking about it. Dunno, but now I get to watch all the episodes commercial-free back to back to back.

The Losers - Awesome action flick and Zoe Saldana is yummy.

Hot Tub Time Machine - Funny but not hilarious. I thought the cameo by Crispin Glover was pretty good.

Survival of the Dead - Not as gory as previous installments but definitely better than Diary of the Dead.

It just kind of jumped realms on me and didn't really foreshadow (which can be good at times) but this felt sloppy. Though, the hand-held movie phase is likely seeing its last gasp. Apparently people were pissed at the end because it lacked explanation and narrative for the preacher and satanists.
