Great coach nontheless....

This is the bed Bob Knight made for himself: He'll make history at an out-of-the-way school with no men's basketball heritage in a football state, in front of a house that very well could be less than full. He'll make history in exile, in effect.

Who cares what state the record is in. He has it and that will be all that matters.

I'll put money on the fact that whatever stadium it happens in will be completely full. No matter where it is.

It SHOULD be at the USA in Lubbock and the place is close to sold out for tmrw's game against UNLV.

The myth that Texas is a football only state is on the decline.

Look at the NBA Mavs and Spurs two of top 4 teams

NCAA A&M a top 15 team, Texas has been to a final Four and with Knight Tech is at least on the map. Texas is a pwer, I think it is safe to say A&M is on the verge of being one

Look at HS, year in and year out 2 or 3 teams are in the NAtional top 25. Top recruits keep pouring from texas.

Because of the game or because of the fact that you're going there with all the boys?

My family and I will be there as well. To get six tickets all together we had to sit up in the upper level about 6 rows up...and I purchased these tickets last Friday before any one knew the outcome of Saturday's Bucknell game.

Therefore, I think it will be close to a sell out. Having the Bowl Game in Arizona on Friday night will have a few fans missing plus having the college kids out for Christmas break.

Yeah, I was hoping they'd lose a game or two that way I'd be back to make this one. I don't care much for college basketball, IMO they're mainly just a bunch of Pre-NBA whiney babies, but nonetheless, I'm pretty excited that Knight will break the record as the coach of the Red Raiders.
