In the last three years this is the playoff record for the Columbia Roughnecks:

2004----Lost to Cuero in the 1st round. Cuero plays in the state final losing to Wylie.

2005----Beat Gonzales in the 1st round and then lost to Wimberley in the 2nd round. Wimberley wins the state title.

2006----Beat Bellville in the 1st round, Silsbee in the 2nd round, loses to Robinson in the 3rd round. Robinson plays in the state final losing to LE.

Two things are evident. Either Columbia will play in the state final in two more years or if you beat Columbia in the playoffs, you'll play in the state final!

Your're right, but that was 4A and we had that 1-9 year in between. Brenham did play in the state final losing to Denton Ryan.

all you have to do is beat us and you go to state!!!

all you have to do is beat us and you go to state!!! LOL, dang, that either is very cool or it has to suck, depends on how you look at it. I know one thing though, I will be keeping a close eye on District 24 next year and cheering everyone on from the district!

(I'll be a Needville homer though!)

Brenham was so good that year they would have gone to the state finals whether they played Dub-C or not. I'm amazed they didn't have a better showing in the state game.

which really amazed me. Brenham came out and destroyed GP in the semis that year and then they played FLAT against Ryan and got completely steamrolled.
