SLC and Celina will have a chance next year....depends on the coaching situation at SLC, or who plays the earlier finals game to see who gets there FIRST.....

I wish Brownwood would as my father is an Alumni and I consider them to be more West Texas than any of the rest but I don't see it happening anytime soon.

It's getting awfully crowded up there at the top... who knows who will be the first to get #8. The record was 6 for 33 years (1948-1981) before any team finally won 7 for the first time. Waco hit #6 in 1948, then Abilene in 1956, Breckenridge in 1959, Wichita Falls in 1969 but they all stalled and Brownwood got four titles between 1969 and 1981 alone and hit #7 before any of the others.

Very Good information.

I think the Championships from the earlier half of the century mean so much more when only one team won from each classification but we won't get into that arguement on this thread.

i though converse judson lost to lewisville in 95???? it might have been 96....but i thought they lost in 95

Judson beat Permian in 95 and lost to Lewisville in 96.
