Congratulations to the Panthers on being the 2006 STATE CHAMPIONS!!!!

Yes the score was closer than the actual game itself. You take away Celina's trick plays and you can eliminate about half of their offensive production, but they were good coaching calls at good times. Liberty Hill also fumbled the ball 3 times and lost all 3, and Bode dropped a pass in the endzone with less than a minute in the first half. The ball couldn't have been placed in his hands better if it was a handoff and there wasn't a Celina defender within 5 yds of him. The Panthers came away empty. Celina was stopped inside the red-zone a couple of times, but they were STOPPED, not turnovers or drops of perfectly thrown balls. Celina played a great game, by looking at them I wasn't much impressed with anyone except the Waldrep kid(Hoss). I expected them to have more athletes. The one thing they did have was great coaching, trick plays, and play calling. Their offensive coordinator kept them in that game. After the first quarter, i expected Liberty Hill to run away from them at any time, but they never did and it went down to the wire and had a great finish. I was glad of that. The Championship coming down to a last second FG was great. Great pressure kick by a kid who I can't remember kicking many if any FGs in the games I saw Liberty hill play this year. Good game. Congrats to both on fine seasons. Congrats to the Panthers on being the 2006 State Champions!:)

What a game last night! Both teams played one heck of a game!

Congratulations to the Liberty Hill Panthers. You made the plays when they needed to be made and won the game. You proved last night that you were the better team and deserved to be named "State Champions."

While all the pre-game attention went to your offensive firepower, your defense was equally impressive!

I know how it feels to win a title this time of year and it makes the holidays that much more special. Congratulations and Merry Christmas!

Congrats to the panthers of Liberty Hill. What an exciting game. I knew it was gonna be good from the first offensive play of the game, when Celina pitched it back 3 times before completing a long pass. From a football fans perspective (not having anyone to cheer for) this was as good a game as it gets!!!!!!!
