that LH defense most of the times comes through in the red zone, they did a good job last week against the Owls, but Celina is a 2nd half team...so we shall see...should be a great 2nd half

Allman and Post really haven't done too much, and it certainly hasn't been LH's best defensive effort--they certainly have been effective in the red zone d though

LH had 335 yards rushing is what I think I heard on the stats.

Well I got to hand it to you, you played one good ball game LH.

It was almost error free, we kind of calculated there would be three fumbles and if we got lucky they would hurt you and they did.

Our kicking game killed us tonight, and the only minor peeves I have is one should of been pass interference call..and the onside kick they gave to LH our player who came down with the ball was clearly in bounds...so the big score board showed so I took a picture of it with a 500 MM lense.

But such is the game.

I commend you on a great victory...may we get a chance to meet again next year...and I think we loose three seniors. this was a rebuilding year...:)

I'll jump in here on this one. Did you listen to the game?

As impressive as the mis-direction offense of LH was, it was not what won the game. Yes the offense scored 3 times, but the offense also, coughed up the ball 3 times and failed to control the game.

The real hero tonight for Liberty Hill was their defensive effort. They were on the field all night. They bent but did not break. They made the big plays when they had to. I was impressed with them.

The 10-1 was very effective against the LH offense. It set Celina up to win the game, but unfortunately Celina's offense met a scrapy D that refused to lose.

Excellent post. The Slot T imo is a offense that you cannot stop but only hope to contain and if you have a good D to go along with it and some sort of passing game to keep the other teams D honest it will take you places.
Our running back made runs all year like Bode did today. When we got to Area we ran into a team who could contain our RB but could not stop him. Instead of his normal 60-80 yard TD runs he was only getting 5-10 yard runs around the corner. There is absolutely nothing wrong with grinding out that type of yardage. Our Coach started passing the ball(something we dont do very much) resulting in 2 crucial INT's inside the opponents 10 yard line in the second half.

3. You only broke three plays that hurt
4. You did not control the ball
5. You were a wee bit fortunate on a couple missed kicks, a no pass interference call, and an onside kick we recovered that was ruled out of bounds...but wasn't according to the big replay screen..that cost a TD, the game could have gone either way at any time

6. Your D won the game for you, not the offense. It bent but did not break like it could have. It made two crucial stops on the goal line. If they didn't make either of them..you loose


so don't let it go totally to your head, In most cases you were forced to go for it on 4th down, way more than once or twice.

but congratulations on a well deserved victory...until we meet again for a rematch:)

he seems to hail from la grange, which as I look over the brackets was nowhere to be found late in the season, and his name is pud.....that pretty much sums it up....

Rixey.....no, this was not like Dangerfield.....we lost that game on a mistake....in this game we did have mistakes in the kicking game, yes, but the fact is we still had several chances to win even with no kicking game, but the LH defense stood up and made plays when they had to....

by the way....44 was a true horse....Bode is nothing but a product of the trickery offense....for the most part, if we hit Bode, he went down....if we hit 44, we had to call for help cause he was not going down unless several riders hopped on his back....very impressed with that kid alright....

1.Thats funny I could have swore I saw Brent Bodie running freely down the field at least twice, and no orange in sight? Hmmmmm.

2.As far as our defense goes. They have stopped the best teams in Texas inside the 20 all thoughout the year. It's been under-rated all year.

3.Forced to throw, lol. We threw because you woudn't expect us to.

4.I thought we scored pretty good considering last week I read repeately that we wouldn't even get close be able to move the ball past own line of scrimmage.

5.We run on forth down all the time.

Repeating myself again, The ony stat that matters it the one on the scoreboard at the end of the game. It's high school football.

I guess I am the only one one here who doesn't think the Celina uniforms are THAT ugly. And you team is a class act. Best we have played against. Looking forward to the rematch.
