nah, his best was written WITH the beatles...but when his music starting getting timely along with him, and started to age it wasn't so bad.

Mother is still one of my favorite songs. And Look At Me is genius within itself. He did alright on his own, much better than Paul and Ringo--although, George didn't do so bad, but John held it together and was able to write timeless music.

haha, I was in Joplin, MI one time and it was on the eve of Elvis' death, and all these strange people kept talking about how they were going to have a service at their house over the internet celebrating his "new life"

I got to walk abbey road, I didn't realize I had walked THE abbey road until afterwards...thought it was pretty cool, although it's much better knowing the beatles did it in much better fashion than myself.
