I saw where the all state defense was named. I was really surprised by a couple of selections......
The best defender I saw all year was Alonzo Whaley LB from Madisonville. Big, fast with a nasty streak and a nose for the ball carrier.
Hands down the best.......

Buffaloes LB headlines 3A all-state football team

Giddings linebacker Alan Dock, a junior who led the Buffaloes to the state quarterfinals, was named Class 3A's defensive player of the year. He led Giddings in tackles last year as well, but turned in 167 tackles this season along with five sacks, a pair of interceptions and six forced fumbles.

Royse City placed 3 on HM......I'm proud for those 3, but should have been higher

KTA, this team is nominated by newspaper writers. If you look over the list, some areas are represented well and others are not at all. I don't think Robinson had anyone listed. That Kitchens kid is good. I suspect that the newspaper that covers them did not turn in nominations. It's like this every year.

Exactly right, & why I put no stock in this list. Wait 'til the Coaches' Team is announced for a more complete list.

KTA I'm not trying to Hate here either but Whiteside didn't show me much last Saturday when they played us in Denton. From what I saw I would have been shocked if they did mention him.

You are hating. He is the only back that ran over 100 yards on the Celina defense. Must say something about the guy. Had 200 yards rushing three games in a row in the playoffs. He will be signing a letter of intent to play at a DI University (I heard either Texas Tech or Texas A&M).
Give him credit.
