Yeah, I posted this last night. ESPN aired it twice too (pregame & halftime). What a joke to be that stupid & unprepared.

And the rest of the crew just sat there listening to his ignorance

One mistake?!

You gotta be kidding me?

Howard is horribly unprepared every week. He is awful! That was not a little mistake. He was passionate about his "analysis". That is a fireable offense. He lost what little credibility he had as did ESPN. I'm sure they were told that during the half they should pick out one bowl game they were really interested and give a 15 second talk, and that's what he came up with? Those guys are paid to be knowledgable about college football...

It just wasn't Howard who was unprepared. The ESPN scrollar had Cal vs. Texas aswell.

Pregame & halftime = more than one mistake by ESPN as a whole

Desmond Howard cannot even speak correctly anyway!

Mistakes or not, come on ! If your going to be on ESPN then at least know enough about what your talking about to make an on the spot correction.

Desmond Howard cannot even speak correctly anyway! halftime is pretty much a taped version

So, all that means is they had a whole half to correct their mistake & did not. So what was your point again?

To air it twice just makes them look worse.

Why is any surprised at this? ESPSuck stopped being a legitimate place for unbiased sports reporting a LOOOOOOOOONG time ago. Ever since ABC took them over they've been all about ratings and controversy and not about real reporting. I wouldn't be surprised if everyone up there just didn't know that Desmond was wrong. The only guys that really know any sports stuff are the ex-players they hire, and as evidenced by Desmond, those guys aren't always the brightest crayons in the box.

Still, Howard is a nice guy and he DID apolgize. And then promptly said he was still picking Cal.;)

Not twice on the air in a 1.5 hour span with a national tv audience. He apologized for a reason b/c he screwed up royally.

it is aired TWICE but it is only taped ONCE....well do you not want him to apologize...i guess you prolly would blame someone else for a mistake you made

Hey fool, Desmond apologized earlier on Sportscenter. And why did it air twice? Can they not edit tape at ESPN? I am guessing they have that capability. They screwed up, period.

Quit coming after me & acting like you know me. If I am wrong, I own up to it. Go get some smarts & move along.

But that was a really bad mistake. I was listening to that segment myself and thought they just had wrong game listed on screen when he was discussing UT, but then he discussed Cal
Couldn't believe it.
Was he dissin' the aggies, or is he just stupid?
