Just a side note for those that don't know, Westlake's football field is named after Todd Dodges father in law, Coach Neptune, who was as I understand it, was Westlakes first head football coach and AD. Todds wife, Elizabeth is a graduate of Westlake.

Sure is, Ebby Neptune is a Sweeny boy (fine athlete & later coach) & a great family friend. I met Todd Dodge when he was at Texas & dating Elizabeth with my late father. She & my sister were big friends growing up. Small world.

Ironic Dodge's hs coaching career ends against Westlake.

should be a good game and slc will most likely win...but westlake has alot of heart they are riding on right now espically from ut recruit nader....who was sideline after he collapsed against am consilidated early in the season and doctors said he cant ever play football again...so westlake will have alot of heart.......im going to route for austin westlake on this one

I sure hope this is true. Sure would hate to have to see him come back down to the HS ranks if things don't work out at UNT. I think he'll do well there though! :)

well last time he left North Texas he came to Cameron..........didnt do to great but me and riley were pretty good friends so i liked ol Todd

We just might. Ebby Neptune is a fine man & put Westlake on the map years ago. I talked to Todd Dodge 2 years ago at the 7 on 7 in CS & we shared some memories. He's a good guy & I wish him well. I don't blame him for wanting a new challenge. What else can he do at the hs level? Take care.

SLC will win this game by AT LEAST 3 td's.....then next year they can go for a run at getting near the win record....

as a Bobcat, next year I guess I will have to be a Trinity fan or such to hope SLC gets knocked off before 68.....

I think the most lopsided victory my high school ever had against Cameron came when Dodge was there. We beat them 42-0 at Cameron. Was kinda surprised because they had a pretty good running back that year named Nathaniel Wells.
