5A was awarded to SA on a bid basis. 4A was agreed upon by the coaches of both schools; the UIL had nothing to do with it.

I think the 4A game being on a Friday night is a bad decision, at least from a fan standpoint. IMO, RRISD on Saturday would've been fine. Us and Hebron had plenty of room there last year. But the game is set so we'll see how it goes. I just think trying to get into S.A. from Waco or the Houston area on a Friday afternoon during the pre-Christmas weekend is gonna be ugly.

I like the idea myself. Of course I have the luxury of being able to take the day off from work on friday. This way I get to see 4 of the 6 games---set the machine to record the 5A games; drive to SA on friday morning; get a room in SA; drive up to Waco on saturday. I get to see the 3A, 4A, and both 5A games.:D :D :D
