Aesculus gilmus

Not that good a punt. Leps set up at own 33.

On first down, LaMichael James runs for nearly 10 yards.

Aesculus gilmus
12-16-2006, 07:18 PM
Middlebrooks has thrown another interception. Trying to hit Fowler on quick slant. Rockets' ball at Leopard 45.

Aesculus gilmus
12-16-2006, 07:29 PM
Middlebrooks just scored on the QB keeper from three yards out. PAT pending.
Drive began on their own 33.

Aesculus gilmus

Sounds like "Coach" made an idiot of himself initially....Keep the updates coming, remember, this is informative, not post-padding, so don't be bashful.

Emmanuel Fagan picks off option pitch and takes it into end zone for Leopards. It's 19-14, L-E.

L-E going for two. Taking a time out first.

LaMichael throws pass for two out of EZ. So it's still 19-14.

'Coach' is a former Leopards head coach from the 1970s named Paul Huddleston.

Their offensive coordinator is amazing. He calls some great plays, and the players usually execute them to perfection. They're lethal on offense.

Aesculus gilmus
12-16-2006, 08:09 PM

Halftime

27-21 LE over Robinson

Eylau has been effective so far on offense, but you can bet Robinson will come out gunning in the second. Too bad coaching can only help fumbles so much.

I came early in the second q, after the Celina game, but this appears to be shaping up as a thriller. Both teams don't know how to quit.

Still don't know how Celina beat Robinson 45-14. They have really come on of late. Can bet a rematch would have been much closer. But my bobcats have a very tough game upcoming next week for the title.

Liberty Hill has been on fire all year.

you know, after seven fumbles and five turnovers, the Robinson coach probably didn't want to take the chance when he already had the momentum

TigerPride
12-16-2006, 10:05 PM
Maybe he knew something about the kicker we didn't know. He's is a great coach that got his team to the title game. One play call doesn't take away what the kids accomplished. Great season.

BIG BLUE DEFENSIVE END
12-16-2006, 10:06 PM
What if the coach called a timeout and asked the players...and it was their choice to go for 2? Either way, the coach took them as far as they went, their play calling was phenomenal the entire year and a lot of the teams they played were outcoached. Great year for the Rockets, and for the Leopards.

In that situation, I believe it was a bad call. You know the 1st & last thing the LE coaches said before the PAT was don't fall for the 2. If they wanted to go for 2, then put you offense out there, not your special teams...

Aesculus gilmus

LE lost as recently as November 10, to Atlanta, 20-17, in overtime. They also lost to Wimberley, 35-14, and Mount Pleasant, 14-6.

Regular season doesn't matter ONE IOTA, sports fans.

Texarkana is going to have a dual Twin Cities pep rally to celebrate Arkansas High's Class 6A title and LE's 3A title Monday at 11 a.m.

My sentiments exactly, on this particular play.

For the situation, it was a good call. LE had been trying to block it from the offensive right side allnight. Luckily for the Leps, the block on that one came from the Off left side. The blocker simply ran down the wing man on the reverse and made a great, game saving tackle.
