from the Bridge City local newspaper:
In a meeting with Bridge City High School educators, Athletic Director and head football coach, Claude Tarver, said that he will give up the position at the end of the school year. In his fifth year at Bridge Ciy the 56-year-old Silsbee native recently finished his 22nd coaching season. Tarver will be leaving BC with a winning record. Tarver carried the Cardinals into the playoffs three of the past five seasons. In 2002, his first year on the Cardinal sideline, Bridge City progressed to the Class-3A regional quarterfinals. In 2004 Big Red ended their season in the bi-district round. The 2005 Cardinals knocked on the door of the state championships before being defeated by Hutto in the regional finals. Tarver still has one year left on his contract with the Bridge City Independent School District. Unofficially, reports are that Coach Tarver and his wife are relocating to the Austin area. More information will be made available shortly.

Is there a record for number of coaches in x number of years? BC seems to change coaches more than anyone. I played under four different AD's in my years at Bridge City.
