In the past couple of years the Sealy football program has suffered. For some reason the pool of athletes just hasn't been there. However, things are looking up in the lower grades as the Freshman team lost only one game and that was to undefeated Bellville and the Junior Varsity had a winning season. Mark Faldyn, the coach who stepped down, believes that there is talent coming that will make the new coach successful real soon. Sealy has a weight room that is second to none in the area and their new school is only about two years old. Considering the way the area is growing and the Tiger football tradition, they will get a boatload of fine candidates.

Tony Valastro, former La Grange coach took East Chambers to 11-1 this year in his second season there since he left La Grange. He took the Leps to state twice winning once and from 1999 to 2003 made the playoffs with a 16-4 post season record. It would be ironic but interesting if he got the job in Sealy. Just wondering...

Coach V's home is in Southeast Texas, would be hard for him to leave. But, Sealy will attract many quality applicants just on name alone.

The freshman team lost to us as well (Needville). But ours went 10-0.

Actually, it was 21-8 at halftime when the game was called because of weather...
