OthersI think deserve consideration are Cornell Green, Charlie Waters and Cliff Harris. And Too Tall Jones was a good one too.

And what about two of our super bowl mvps - Harvey Martin and Larry Brown?

And Eddie Lebaron who was there the tough first five years as qb for us when we weren't winning. He helped us get through those bad years and is worth considering.

And what about Coach Barry Switzer? However you feel about him he did lead us to a super bowl win.

And Jimmy Johnson. Shouldn't be any argument here.

And Russell Maryland who was good lineman for us during our super bowl run in the 90s till we lost him to free agency.

Yes to Jimmy Johnson, heck no to Barry Switzer (he inherited team, did little else).

Ed Jones - maybe.

Russell Maryland - good player, not ROH worthy.

Cliff Harris - yes, & HOF too.

Jerry Jones - sure he will put himself in soon!

Hey g$$ I have a feeling that Jones may keep Coach Johnson out. Probably Coach Johnson won't get in until the Cowboys change ownerships. Jerry is probably still mad about not being invited for that drink. :D

Probably not a chance for Bill Bates but he sure was loyal to the Cowboys for years and was popular.

And strange that Drew Pearson isn't in there.

Come on Cowboys fans. I know others are worth considering. Help me out. Remember Butch Johnson? Troy's favorite receiver when others were covered.

I have always thought Calvin Hill, and Walt Garrison belonged in the ring of honor. And what about Bill Bates? They looked for reasons to cut him every year, but he just kept over acheiving year after year, and continually made big hits every game. Bates may have been one of the best special teams players of all time in the entire NFL.

Jones wouldn't even have been able to blow his nose without Johnson.

And how many super bowls did Johnson win without Jones as his owner?

Butch who? Troy's favorite receiver when nothing else was working was the one and only Jay Novacek. The tripletts might not be in the ROH if not for Novacek's efforts.

Butch Johnson was way before Troy Aikman. You are thinking of Alvin Harper.

Bill Bates - yes, forgot him.

Drew Pearson - heck yes, baffles me he is not in yet.

Walt Garrison & Calvin Hill - good players but not ROH worthy.

And how many has Jones won after he ran out of the players Johnson drafted?

A good argument for Duane Thomas. I know he didn't play very many years there and there was bitterness when he left but those few years he was there Dallas wouldn't have got to the super bowls without him.

And linebacker D.D. Lewis!

Don't get him started. Jerry Jones is Broadcaster's boy. Why, I do not know. Jimmy ran the football team by the way, not Jerry. Jerry is a great businessman not football coach.

What have they won since Jimmy left (not counting Jimmy's team Barry won 1 title with either)?

What really is not helping is the fact that the ROH was usually represented by career Cowboys.....with free agency there will not likely be anymore career cowboys that are deserving.....Darren Woodson maybe.

Larry Brown....no way. He left to play for another team.

Jimmy Johnson....never. His pride was too big, only coached 5 years.

Bill Bates...Yes, absolutely. Represented the franchise well.

Wehre have I EVER said he was my "boy"...I just get tired of people acting like Jerry Jones has never done anything right

Jones was right about any coach could run the team (that Johnson built). Only problem was the ingrate didn't have the guts to stand by the guy who built it for him. (Had to create a job for Junior, ya know). Johnson redefined the pro game with his speed defense. EVERYBODY else had no choice but to follow suit. Johnson could have been a career Cowboy, and probably would have been if not for Jones' ego.

Drew Pearson, Ed Jones (played more games than any other Cowboy) and Daryl "Moose" Johnston.

Dat did not play long enough, but he was good while he played before the neck injury (All Rookie, All Pro).

So to summarize IMO:

Drew Pearson
Darren Woodson
Bill Bates
Cliff Harris
Ed Jones/Harvey Martin/DD Lewis
Jay Novacek
Darryl Johnston

...not all will make it, but most eventually will.

Good list, but no Woodson? Many Pro Bowls & team leader on SB Champions.
